"Hello, I'm Rodney Finch, the Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Cary in North Carolina. A lot has happened in my life and ministry in the last 15 months since joining the awesome line up of teachers on EquipFM. We are receiving many good reports via email, phone calls and letters from listeners. The ministry of Calvary Chapel Cary has also been involved in a few ministry opportunities in India. I have a teaching ministry to pastors and church leaders and over the past eight years CC Cary has helped to provide care for 28 HIV infected orphan-children. There is a particular little boy at the orphanage that I consider a son, his name is Bhanu (pronouced: Ba-new). Bhanu was abandoned to the streets of India at six months of age. When he was found he was brought to the Freedom Foundation. Because of the HIV, he is not doing well, please pray for him. Our involvement in these ministries have brought life to our church, because I believe God deeply cares for widows and orphans and when you seek to bless them, you are truly touching the heart of God."
"In October of 2008, Calvary Chapel Cary hosted a conference in Hyderabad, India for 3,000 pastors who came from all over the nation to hear the Gospel of Grace. It was a ground-breaking historic gathering in India. So many people were blessed by the teaching of the Word of God! It was a wonderful time of fellowship and teaching, worship and just plain fun. I am humbled that God chose to use someone like me to do such a wonderful thing for Him. I was born and raised by a single mother in Philadelphia and at the age of nine I begun a life of destruction by using drugs and going down the wrong road. But on January 23, 1982 God changed my life, my course, my direction. Who would have ever thought that God would use me to tell others the good news of the grace and love of God? He decided to use me to tell others of how He came and found me, and saved me, and filled with me with His Spirit. As someone once rightly said: 'I am just a nobody, trying to tell everybody, about somebody, who can change anybody.'"
